This happy memory keeps coming back to me . We were 17/18 and two car loads of us including Sue and myself drove from Bushey down to Brighton for the day . Something happened to the exhaust of one of the cars ..think it was the one Richard was driving and we “growled” all the way down and back. We all walked on Brighton Pier where music was Lola (Kinks) . Always loved that song and think of that day whenever I hear it
